Get InvolvedOWL receives and cares for thousands of animals each year, all made possible through the genorosity of donors and its volunteers. Here are ways you can help us achieve success in animal rehabilitation and wildlife education. volunteerOWL is staffed almost entirely by volunteers and relies on their generosity and hard work to operate. There are a variety of opportunities available at both our main center and receiving facility. Click here for more about volunteering with OWL. InternOWL's internship program is intended to provide a unique experiential learning opportunity to undergraduate or graduate students who are pursuing career opportunities in biology, zoology, or other related fields. Interns serve as wildlife caretakers, learning animal husbandry and basic wildlife rehabilitation skills through hands-on, real-world biological experience. Other ways to donateBesides being a member, there are several ways you can help support our efforts, some of them are even free! Learn about them all here. adopt-a-bird programOWL houses several birds which are used as part of our wildlife presentations. These birds have either been too badly injured or too accustomed to humans to be released back into the wild. By adopting one of these public education birds, your donation will go toward their food, vet care, equipment and housing. In return you receive a 5 X 7 adoptee portrait, an adoption certificate, a biography of the adoptee, and trivia about the species adopted. Learn more about the program and our public education birds here. |
