OWL's Events

Primarily funded through the generosity of the public, OWL holds two major fundraising events during the year. We also have dedicated volunteers who give educational presentations to area organizations.

Annual Garage Sale

Every August, OWL hosts a garage sale to help us through the winter. Everyone is welcome to donate items beginning in July. The sale is usually held in August. The 2004 garage sale was a huge success. Thanks to all those who shopped and volunteered to make this happen!

Items for sale include: Books, clothing (all styles, sizes and kinds), appliances, furniture, dishes, crafts, collectibles, vintage items, computer equipment, TVs, and much more!

Annual Art Show

Every November, spectacular artists from all over bring their work to Kansas City to raise money for Operation WildLife. Benefit two worthy causes with your presence or your purchase while celebrating art and nature. Mark your calendar now.

When: November 11-13, 2005 (Friday - Sunday)

Hours: Friday 7-10 p.m.
Saturday 10-9 p.m.
Sunday 10-4 p.m.

Where: Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Overland Park West

Cost: $5 suggested donation.

Public Education Presentations

View our calendar to find a public education presentation near you. One of trained volunteer presenters takes some education animals and teaches people like you about the value of our wildlife. While some presentations may be private or require an entry fee, many are free and open to the public. We recommend contacting the organization hosting the event for details.
